Au départ de l'examen de plus de mille projets inventoriés sur une affiche, le collectif orthodoxe dresse un portrait de l'architecture en Wallonie et à Bruxelles, en explorant cinq thématiques : contemporanéité, représentation, médiation, écologie et cosmopolitiques.
Enrichi de contributions d'architectes, de chercheurs et critiques, belges et étrangers, Architectures Wallonie-Bruxelles Inventaires (...) 1 Inventories 2010-2013 présente au final une sélection de 30 projets -L logements, équipements communautaires, espaces publics, installations, publications, programmations culturelles et initiatives citoyennes - confiés au regard du photographe Maxime Delvaux.
¤ Fondé en 2011, orthodoxe est l'association de six architectes qui se retrouvent autour du partage de convictions fondamentales simples : faire de l'architecture ne peut se comprendre en dehors de l'histoire, ni se penser sans théories, ni se fonder sans critique. Ils se consacrent, individuellement et collectivement, à la pratique de l'architecture tant dans les champs de sa conception que dans ceux de ses médiations culturelles et de son enseignement.
Building on the review of more than a thousand projects inventoried on a poster, the orthodoxe collective paints a portrait of architecture in Wallonia and Brussels through the exploration of five topics : contemporaneity, représentation, médiation, ecology and cosmopolitics.
Enriched by various contributions from Belgian and foreign architects, researchers and critics, Architectures Wallonie-Bruxelles Inventaires (...) 1 Inventories 2010-2013 eventually présents a selection of 30 projects - housing, community equipment, public spaces, facilities, publications, cultural programs and citizehs' initiatives - pictured under the eye of Maxime Delvaux.
¤ Founded in 2011, orthodoxe is an association of six architects sharing simple, fundamental beliefs : making architecture cannot be understood outside history, cannot be thought without theories, and cannot be founded without criticism. The collective concentrates, both individually and together, on practicing architecture in the area of design, cultural médiations and its teaching.
Maxime Delvaux est un photographe belge spécialisé en architecture. Il est diplômé en 2008 de l'INRACI à Bruxelles. En 2011, il fonde avec un autre photographe le collectif 354, spécialisé dans les secteurs de la photographie publicitaire et de l'architecture, il réalise également des travaux plus personnels dont les thématiques récurrentes sont l'architecture et l'histoire au travers du paysage.
Maxime Delvaux is a Belgian photographer specialized in architecture. He was graduated from the INRACI, Brussels, in 2008. In 2011, he created, together with another photographer, the 354 collective which is specialized in advertising and architecture photography. He also produced more personal works focusing on the recurring themes of architecture and history through Jandscapes.
