In the wake of the digital revolution, a young international generation of architects is experimenting with the potential of the computer in the field of architectural design. At the cutting edge of this research, Alisa Andrasek and her biothing laboratory (created in 2001 ) are exploring a new « materiality » of architecture, on the frontier between biology, mathematics and genetics.Through an iconography recounting her design process and original essays, this book presents the scientific and esthetic challenges attuned to the mutations of the contemporary world.
