Biographie

Juliana Grazini dos Santos
Born in São Paulo, Juliana has been living since 1997 in France, where she received a PhD in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Paris 7. Today she uses these skills alongside her Master's degree in nutrition to direct an organization that promotes the exchange of information about nutritional science between Brazil and Europe.

Monica Hallberg
A German-Brazilian, Monica spent her formative years between these two distant countries. She then fell in love with French and moved to Paris, where she spent 20 years and received a PhD in Literature from the Sorbonne. She has put her multicultural experience to use in a variety of language projects, and currently teaches French in Spain.

Marie-Pierre Mazéas
When she discovered Brazilian Portuguese, Marie- Pierre changed tack from studying Classics at the Sorbonne in Paris and began a voyage of discovery in Brazil. Her passion for the country and its language led her to translating and teaching, as well as to actively promoting the recognition of her adopted tongue as an official international language.

Fernando Nonohay
Born in Porto Alegre, Fernando received a degree in Media Studies from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS). He then moved to the UK, where he has been living for more than 20 years. A Portuguese-English translator and interpreter, he also teaches Brazilian Portuguese as a Second Language, firmly believing that learning languages should be a fun, effortless process.
