Boldly designed by architects Anouk Legendre and Nicolas Desmazières, the Cité du Vin marks the revival of the city of Bordeaux and is a turning point in its architectural history. An extraordinary building, paying homage to the river in a single perfect stroke, the Cité du Vin has taken its place on the bank of the Garonne river, after more than two years of construction work.
Photographer Isabelle Rozenbaum followed the construction from the beginning, a particularly complex project given the uniqueness of its shape. In this book, she presents the artistic trace of her work over the course of the seasons and reveals the different stages in the building's construction.
A work of art on paper, in memory of the construction of this architectural work : La Cité du Vin contains texts by 12 wine-lovers, presents the work of an artist, and is dedicated, as a whole, to this exceptional piece of architecture.
