La deuxième édition de cet outil pédagogique visant à accompagner les professeurs américains dans l'enseignement de la géographie propose de nombreuses illustrations de la faune et de la flore les plus répandues des trois grands océans, pacifique, atlantique et indien, dans une vision rendue un peu surréaliste par des proportions et des élévations peu conventionnelles. yaggy savait plaire à son jeune public pour l'intéresser aux sciences de la nature.

Levi Walter Yaggy's astonishing view of the earth and of the underwater world was published in 1893 as one of the ten maps in Yaggy's geographical portfolio. The second edition of this educational tool, which was designed to help american teachers give geography classes, shows numerous illustrations of the most widespread fauna and flora of the pacific, atlantic, and Indian Oceans, in a vision rendered somewhat surreal by unconventional proportions and elevations. Yaggy knew how to cater to his young public and get them interested in the natural sciences.
