Studying at universities in France, foreign students encounter three difficulties : insufficient knowledge / mastery of the French language, adapting to different working methods, and becoming accustomed to the French way of life. This book supports you with the last two points.

The book opens with a chapter entitled « How to get to France to study » i.e. how to choose a course, how to apply for a university, and how to obtain a scholarship and a visa.

Next, we present the main working methods in French universities : how to make notes, how to research a subject, how to write a précis, comment on a text or numerical data, and how to design and deliver an oral presentation.

Next, we focus on exams : oral examinations and dissertations. We explain the most frequent exam organization, the important danger of plagiarism, and the French grading system.

Finally, we provide tips for daily life in France : how to find accommodation, how to get insured, and how you can organize your time and manage stress.
