Cosmic Communist Constructions Photographed dokumentiert eine architektonische Pilgerfahrt in eine bereits untergegangene Zukunft. Auf seinen Reisen durch die ehemaligen Teilrepubliken der UdSSR entdeckte der französische Publizist Frédéric Chaubin einzigartige Monumentalbauten der späten Sowjetära, deren utopisches Formenvokabular und spektakuläre Extravaganz jeden Rahmen sprengt - grandiose Relikte einer fast vergessenen Epoche.
Frédéric Chaubin est, depuis quinze ans, le rédacteur en chef du magazine Citizen K. Depuis 2000, il affirme un regard de photographe en publiant des sujets mêlant textes et images. Le projet CCCP s'est développé de 2003 à 2010, au gré des voyages, selon une logique intuitive. Il a donné lieu à de nombreuses expositions, du Japon aux États-Unis.
Frédéric Chaubin has been, for the last fifteen years, editor-in-chief of the French lifestyle magazine Citizen K. Since 2000 he has regularly featured works combining text and photography. The CCCP collection research was carried out from 2003 to 2010, through an intuitive and creative travel process. This project has been shown throughout the world, from Japan to the United States.
Frédéric Chaubin ist seit 15 Jahren Chefredakteur des französischen Lifestyle-Magazins Citizen K. Dort veröffentlicht er regelmä(...)ig künstlerische Fotoreportagen. Das Material für das CCCP-Projekt sammelte er auf Recherchereisen durch die früheren Sowjetrepubliken zwischen 2003 und 2010. Die Sammlung wurde weltweit gezeigt, von Japan bis in die Vereinigten Staaten.
