Quatrième de couverture

Any Objections? is a roller-coaster of unpublished images that offers an unprecedented look at the world of fashion photography's extraordinary talent, Mario Testino. Here, in his first book, faces of the famous appear in the least-expected places as bodies of the beautiful, sensual landscapes and cities, close friends and riveting passers-by create a pattern held together by the photographer's sense of humour and love of the absurd. Part diary, part personal commentary, Any Objections? is an insight into Testino's artistic inspirations from fashion and the gutter, to nature and artifice, to high and low culture. Provocative, daring and always entertaining, with or without any objections, Testino's vision is impossible to resist.

Biographie

Born in Lima, Peru, Mario Testino moved to London in his twenties and became a fashion photographer. Today, his images regularly appear in Vogue and Vanity Fair and his name is synonymous with the cutting edge of style. Testino's widely acclaimed and celebrated images of the world's most beautiful and dynamic personalities, as well as his numerous campaigns which include Gucci, Versace and Missoni, have earned him recognition as an arbiter of taste in the Nineties.

"An impressive tome of images culled from his charmed life... a travelogue of the people and places he has encountered, a glamourised vision of sex, the street and the absurd. It's Testino re-defining his work and his image - pushing the parameters that little bit further." Vogue

"Uber fashion photographer and man behind redefining images of Princess Diana and Madonna has put together a smorgasbord of proudly provocative pics (hundreds never seen before), mixing travelogue, reportage and fashion photography. Featuring an international cast of willing subjects, Testino's photos are cheeky and funny, shocking and intimate... far-reaching and revealing." The Face
