Biarritz, under the eye of two artists photographers who walked the city. Blend of nature and architecture, authenticity and luxury, the city is offered to the glance of the reader. The authors give privileged access to certain unavoidable places and unspoilt countryside that are revisited to suit their photographic sensitivity. Two eyes, male and female, to understand the contrast and richness of this crucial stage in the Basque Coast.
Installée depuis 2001 au Pays Basque, Joëlle Verbrugge est Auteur-Photographe, et parcourt la région au
sol ou en vol, afin d'en fixer les couleurs, d'en isoler les détails, et d'en cartographier les plus petits recoins
au gré de ses envies photographiques. Après la publication en 2011 de l'ouvrage « Pays Basque, Terre de
couleurs », elle se livre ici à un exercice différent, en compagnie d'André Lamerant.

Après une carrière dans le domaine des Arts Graphiques, André Lamerant conjugue ainsi son activité
professionnelle avec son intérêt pour le dessin et la photographie, il devient Auteur-Photographe pour
se consacrer entièrement à sa passion. Outre les paysages du Nord, ses sujets de prédilection sont très
variés : des Alpes au Pays Basque, de l'aviation à la faune sauvage. Il aime aussi porter son regard sur des
paysages habituels avec des cadrages surprenants, saisir des éclairages particuliers, pour sublimer leur
identité et les extraire de leur proximité quotidienne, mettre en valeur une beauté qui est proche, et faire
partager cet étonnement.

Installed since 2001 in the Basque Country, Joëlle Verbrugge is Author-Photographer, and
travels the area on the ground or in flight, in order to fix the colors, to isolate the details,
and to map the smallest corners at the discretion of her photographic desires. After the
publication in 2011 of the book « Basque Country, Land of Colors », she engages in a
different exercise, with André Lamerant.

After a career in the field of Graphic Arts, and combining his business with his interest in drawing and photography, he became Author-Photographer to devote himself entirely to his passion. In addition to the northern France landscape, his favorite subjects are varied : from the Alps to the Basque Country, aviation and wildlife. He also likes to bring his look on usual landscapes with surprising framing, catch special lighting, sublimate their identity and retrieve their daily proximity, highlight a beauty whichis close, and share this wonder.
