Ce ne sont pas tant les machines qui l'intéressent que les signes d'humanité, ou simplement des traces de vie organique que le spectateur à l'impression d'y déceler. Pas besoin pour cela de construire des robots humanoïdes. Ses machines sont de tout format, et ne ressemblent en rien à des êtres humains. Et pourtant c'est bien de nous qu'il s'agit à travers elles. It's all just a show
Bill Vorn has been a practitioner of « Robotic art » for over 20 years. But before you get the wrong idea, you should know that he's not so interested in the actual machines as the signs of humanity or traces of organic life that the spectators feel they can spot within them. No need for humanoid robots for that. Vorn's machines come in all shapes and sizes but look nothing like human beings. And yet it's he wants to convey through them. That said, Bill Vorn wants us to know that it's all just a show. Explanations from the man himself.
