Au bout de 50 ans de carrière et de plusieurs centaines de compositions, Dylan reste une personnalité paradoxale et énigmatique, admirée par les uns, détestée par les autres. Ce volume s'efforce de saisir l'homme et l'artiste au travers de ses contradictions et de ses identités successives, du jeune idéaliste au vétéran sarcastique, en passant par le dandy rock et le conteur mystique.
With his first two albums, Bob Dylan and The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan, a young American folksinger triggered and earthquake. Early in the Sixties, Bob Dylan redefined what an artist could express in a song, and in doing so he caused an upheaval in the entire music industry and contributed to lay the foundations of modern rock. After a 50-year career and several hundred compositions, Dylan remains a paradoxical, enigmatic character revered by some and detested by the others. The aim of this volume is to capture the man and the artist through his successive contradictions and identities, from the young idealist to the sarcastic veteran via the rock dandy and the mystical storyteller.
