Depuis 2001 : sportif aventurier
2003 : Dakar moto, 6e en 400 cm3.
2004/2005 : Tour du monde voile, 122 jours en solitaire, sans escale pendant le Vendée Globe.
2006 : Sommet de l'Everest, 8 850 m par la voie tibétaine, le 17 mai.
2007 : Traversée de l'Atlantique à la rame, record en 36 jours et 6 heures.
2007/2008 : Expédition en Antarctique, 30 jours en kiteski en autonomie.
A venir :
2009 : Première mondiale pôle Nord - pôle Sud, relier les deux pôles en 10 mois de février à décembre en utilisant seulement des énergies renouvelables : ski, chien de traîneau, bateau à voile, vélo, etc...
2010 : Montagne : Première mondiale 4 x 8 000 m sans oxygène.
Rame : Atlantique aller-retour non-stop.
Voile : Tour du monde à l'envers en multicoque solo.
Iditarod : Plus grande course de chiens de traîneaux, Alaska.
Ironman : Triathlon longue distance.
An adventure hunter
Officer in the French merchant navy.
13 years as the head of a company operating in France, Europe, and USA. Company floated on the stock market in 1997 before being sold in 2001.
Since 2001 : sporting adventurer
2003 : Paris-Dakar Rally, 6th in 400cc moto class.
2004/2005 : Vendée Globe, round-the-world, single-handed yacht race with no stopovers. Completes course in 122 days.
2006 : Climbs Everest, 8,850 metres, by the Tibetan route, on 17 May.
2007 : Rows single-handed across the Atlantic. Sets new record of 36 days and 6 hours.
2007/2008 : Solo expedition to Antarctica, 30 days kite-skiing.
Future challenges :
2009 : World's first journey from North to South Pole, spanning ten months, from February to December, and using renewable energy only : skis, dog sled, yacht, bicycle, etc.
2010 : Mountaineering : Attempt to become first man to scale four eight-thousanders without oxygen.
Rowing : Non-stop journey across the Atlantic and back.
Sailing : Single-handed journey around the world the wrong way in a multi-hull yacht.
Iditarod : The world's longest sled-dog race, held in Alaska.
Ironman : Long-distance triathlon race.
