Christian Maillard's (*1944) journeys in various European countries, in Africa, the United States, South America and the Far East decisively influenced his photographic style. Plain and straightforward, his analogue black-and-white photographs present reality unadorned. This book, which features pictures that were taken all over the world between 1996 and 2016, is the first monograph dedicated to the French photographer.
