Quand visiteurs de musées et oeuvres d'art se font face, il arrive d'étranges coïncidences... Sous l'objectif de Stefan Draschan, ils se confondent et fusionnent visuellement, jusqu'à ne faire plus qu'un.
Depuis des années, ce photographe viennois passionné d'histoire de l'art arpente les musées muni de son appareil photo. Il attend ce moment furtif mais étonnant de communion entre une peinture, une photographie, une sculpture et celui qui la regarde. Parfois, le motif d'une robe, le détail d'une coiffure ou tout simplement une posture, une attitude résonne avec l'oeuvre... et la magie opère.
Aussi étonnant que cela puisse paraître, Stefan Draschan n'utilise jamais la mise en scène dans ses photos. Ses clichés ne sont que le résultat d'un hasard, d'une coïncidence... et de nombreuses heures passées dans les salles de musées à chasser ses proies.

When museum visitors and works of art come face to face, strange coincidences happen... In front of Stefan Draschan's lens, they intermingle and merge visually, until they become one.
For years, this Viennese photographer and art history enthusiast has been roaming the museums with his camera in hand. He waits for the fleeting but surprising moment of communion between a painting, photograph or sculpture and the person looking at it. Sometimes, the pattern of a dress, the detail of a hairstyle or simply a posture or attitude resonates with the work of art... and the magic happens.
As surprising as it may seem, Stefan Draschan never stages his photos. His shots are the result of pure chance, a coincidence... and many hours spent stalking his prey in the halls of museums.
Stefan Draschan est un photographe et activiste en bicyclette ! Né en Autriche en 1979, il vit principalement entre Vienne et Berlin, mais aussi à Naples et à Paris. Son travail bénéficie d'une belle couverture de presse et ses séries photographiques sont largement partagées sur les réseaux sociaux. Plusieurs expositions présentant son travail sont actuellement en préparation en Europe...
Stefan Draschan is a photographer and cycling activist ! Born in Austria in 1979, he divides his time between Vienna, Berlin, Naples and Paris.
