Quatrième de couverture

After ten years of design and construction work on an exceptional scale, Philippe Samyn, architect and engineer, is handing over to the European Council and the Council of the European Union a representative building in Brussels destined to convey the executive power of Europe : summits of heads of state and government leaders ; councils of ministers.

Commemorating the building's inauguration, Elements Europa presents the completion phases of the building and its facilities. In doing so, the book attempts to interpret an architecture conceived - in its overall structure and all its details, in its representative functions and in its decor - to radiate the shared power of the European Union's twenty-eight member states.
