Deux ans après l'exposition Pasteur'Spirit, l'Institut Pasteur accueille à nouveau Fabrice Hyber sur son campus avec une oeuvre pérenne intitulée Sans gêne, offerte par l'artiste et réalisée au sein d'un nouveau bâtiment dédié aux maladies émergentes. Cette oeuvre spectaculaire, à la fois conçue comme une fresque en hommage à l'inventivité de la recherche biomédicale qui anime l'Institut et une vitrine des liens possibles entre créativité artistique et découverte scientifique, a été réalisée avec la complicité de Sèvres - Cité de la céramique.
Ce livre-DVD associe le film de Gilles Coudert et une publication qui nous livrent en images le processus d'élaboration de l'oeuvre et donnent ses enjeux à travers la parole de l'artiste, celle des chercheurs et acteurs du projet.
Two years after the Pasteur'Spirit exhibition, the Institut Pasteur once again hosts Fabrice Hyber on the Pasteur campus with his work entitled Sans gène. The artist made the work inside the new building devoted to emerging infectious diseases, and donated the work to the Institute. This spectacular work of art, conceived both as a fresco paying tribute to the creativity of the biomedical research which drives the Institute, and as a vehicule for all the connections between artistic creativity and scientific discovery, was made with support from Sèvres - Cité de la céramique.
The DVD/book brings together the film by Gilles Coudert and texts which together tell the story of the process of the work and the challenges, in the words of the artist, the researchers and the leaders of the project.
