Quatrième de couverture

From vine to wine

150 years of history in the vines of Domaine Ponsot

Inspired by the microhistory trend, this book sets out to illustrate how 150 years of a unique history of a family of winegrowers is embedded in-and contributes to the larger history of Burgundy Crus.

We will explore how techniques and the knowledge of 'vine and wine' have evolved between 1872 and 2022, providing a better understanding of the issues relating to appellations and the notion of terroir.

We will see how a climat winegrower worked In the past, how he works today and how he works for the future and we will observe that sometimes 'everything must change in order for everything to remain the same'.

Biographie

With a background in Philosophy and after a career in Consultancy, she has come back to her roots, and is the fourth generabon to take the helm at Domaine Ponsot in Morey-Saint-Denis.
