The Plaza Athénée opened on Avenue Montaigne the day after the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées was inaugurated. Luxury hospitality met outstanding cuisine at this exclusive location, soon to be adopted by the greats of this world. Then in 1936 innovative agreements made the Plaza Athénée a precursor in labor relations. Through unique documents and testimonials, this book retraces the lives of this legendary hotel thanks to the concierges, directors and customers who share with us their recollections.
