Learn Dutch
Self-study method to reach cefr level A2
This series is the first self-study language method based on the requirements of the Council of Europe's Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
The 30 lessons are designed to allow learners to progressively achieve the skills corresponding to level A2 : 'waystage' or 'elementary' level.
Each lesson is based on a conversation, the recordings of which are available online free of charge from most streaming services, including YouTube.
Ineke Paupert was born in Hilversum in the Netherlands and studied French and pedagogy at the University of Amsterdam. She then moved to France to earn a Master's in Advanced Studies in Dutch, staying in the country to work as a part-time lecturer at the National Institute of Eastern Languages and Civilizations (INALCO) and as a lecturer of Dutch at the University of Paris IV Sorbonne.
Her teaching experience further sparked her interest in second-language learning and applied linguistics, in which she extended her field of research. She went on to teach Dutch and lead the language department at the Institut Néerlandais in Paris until the end of 2013. In her decades of teaching, she has found that combining language learning with cultural knowledge leads to the most lasting results.
