Lofts - urban space concept
To design a loft, live in it and make it ones own means above all allowing an industrial past rich in history to cohabit with the comfort expected of present-day creations. It also means an aesthetic code stood on its head, with oppositions of colours and materials, and a permanent compromise between architectural vision and lifestyle.
There can be no question of abandoning the highly particular soul of industrial buildings ; the framework of the construction is preserved and often superbly enhanced, to invite us to tarry for a few seconds or longer and savour the calm inside such great volumes.
It is a sense of astonishment constantly renewed when confronted with these disconcerting places that we can promise you as you turn the pages of this new pictorial promenade.
