Se souciant peu des échelles, elle met en valeur les principaux sites de Manhattan (Broadway, Battery Park, Central Park) et ses monuments modernes (premiers gratte-ciels, pont de Brooklyn), mais surtout l'extraordinaire activité maritime et commerciale sur l'estuaire de l'Hudson et la baie de New York à la fin du XIX^e siècle.

With little concern for scale, it highlights the main sites of Manhattan (Broadway, Battery Park, Central Park) and its modern monuments (the first skyscrapers, Brooklyn Bridge), but above all the extraordinary maritime and commercial activity on the Hudson estuary and New York Bayatthe end of the 19th century.
