Quatrième de couverture

Nucléide is the computerized form of the "Table de Radionucléides" from CEA-List/LNE-LNHB, it includes also the data published in the Monographie BIPM-5. The aim of this Table is to provide recommended decay data for nuclides of special interest for metrology or practical applications like nuclear medicine, monitoring and reactor shielding, etc. Primary recommended decay data comprise half-lives, decay modes, X-rays, gamma-rays, alpha- and beta-particle transitions and emissions, and associated uncertainties. Decay schemes are automatically drawn from the data.

The Laboratoire National de Métrologie et d'Essais (LNE) has designated the Laboratoire National Henri Becquerel (LNHB) as the "Primary Standards Laboratory for Ionizing Radiation Metrology" and has given it the responsibility for the preparation and improvement of national primary standards for the units in radioactivity and ionizing radiation dosimetry.

As part of these duties, it carries out studies related to:

  • measurement instruments and methods,
  • radiometrological constants,
  • decay data evaluation.

The LNHB is also a laboratory of the Commissariat à l'Énergie Atomique (CEA) which is the French national agency in charge of nuclear research and development.
