Paul Cézanne society
During the forty years of his life as a painter, Cézanne spent more time living and working in Île-de-France than he did in Provence. This book is dedicated to the artist's places of résidence and work, walks and itineraries in and around Paris. It contains many illustrations and combines reproductions of Cézanne's paintings with old postcards, historic and contemporary photographs, maps and charts. It is a well documented book based on a chronological account of Cézanne's life, without which it is impossible to take a serious approach to the artist's pictorial journey.
