A way of living
Home, Lifestyles, Inspiration
Since the launch of his Home Collection in 1983, Ralph Lauren has been inspiring us with his very personal vision of the comfort and beauty we desire for our homes-whether a charming rose-covered cottage by the sea, a rustic lodge in the mountains, or a modern loft in the city.
In this landmark volume with essays and descriptions written in his own words, Lauren shares the inspiration and imagery of his own homes-from a sprawling ranch in Colorado to a seaside retreat in Jamaica-and the iconic lifestyle collections each have inspired.
As in his timeless fashion collections, Ralph Lauren creates environments that tell stories we can all aspire to. They are not about trends of the moment, but about values and things that last. In these pages his stories come alive, offering inspiration for all who seek to make their home a unique refuge of style, personal expression and an authentic kind of luxury.
Ralph Lauren began his career in 1967, designing neckties under the label Polo. Today, his collections include menswear, womenswear, childrenswear, accessories, fragrance, and home. He has received numerous awards for his work in fashion, philanthropy, and humanitarian causes, and is the only designer to receive the CFDA's four highest honors : Womenswear Designer of the Year ; Menswear Designer of the Year ; Retailer of the Year and Lifetime Achievement. In 2019 he was presented with an honorary KBE for Services to Fashion by His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales.
