Tel un missionnaire hyper viril de l'ère post-Stonewall, Kake sillonnait le monde sur sa moto en véhiculant l'image d'un sexe gay libéré, assouvi et extatique. Aujourd'hui, il nous ramène au temps où les hommes étaient de vrais mecs, le sexe insouciant et où chacun arborait une grande et épaisse moustache.
Muscles and mustaches
In 1965, Tom of Finland began flirting with the idea of an ongoing character for his panel stories, the ultimate Tom's Man. In 1968 he settled on Kake (pronounced « cocky »), a dark-haired, mustached leathcrman. Between 1968 and 1986, Tom published 26 episodes of Kake adventures, most as 20-page booklets, all of which are collected in this volume. Kake is a post-Stonewall hypermasculine Johnny Appleseed traveling the world on his motorcycle, spreading the seeds of liberated, mutually satisfying, ecstatic gay sex. Return with Kake to the days when men wore men, sex was carefree, and everyone wore a big thick mustache.
