Biographie

Jon Kear is a specialist in French nineteenth-century art, and has published widely on nineteenth- and twentieth-century painting, literature, popular culture and photography. Having completed his doctorate on Paul Cézanne at the Courtauld Institute, Jon Kear is now a lecturer in History and Theory of Art at the University of Kent. His previous publications include Sunless: Time and History in the Work of Chris Marker (1999).
