Luigi Bortoluzzi has been working with images since the seventies.
After his studies at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Cinecittà (National Film School in Rome), he moved to Milan.
He focuses on two areas of photographic work. The first one consists in creating female portraits for private collectors. The second area targets a broader audience and its outcome are the two books published by Gribaudo (Musi di camion [Trucks' fronts] and Autos de Cuba [Cars of Cuba]), the exhibitions « European Urban Landscape » (held in Rome and Venice) and « Imaginary Magazines » (held in Modena), and the the site-specific project « Oriental Summer in Belluno : Pictures After the Cold War ».
