Vézac
Sans bourg, la discrète commune de Vézac semble presque invisible. Et pourtant, nulle autre n'est mieux située, en plein coeur du « Triangle d'or » du Périgord Noir. Mitoyenne avec Beynac, La Roque-Gageac et Sarlat, elle offre aussi de belles perspectives sur les châteaux de Castelnaud et Fayrac.
Les hautes falaises apportent une certaine majesté au paysage aimable de la vallée de la Dordogne. Dans ce cadre idyllique, Vézac compte aussi une grotte préhistorique ornée, une église romane, plusieurs manoirs et, ultime joyau, les jardins suspendus de Marqueyssac.

Without a central village, the commune of Vézac may seem difficult to identify. Yet it has a unique situation in the very heart of the Périgord Noir's « Golden Triangle ». No other local commune can claim joint borders with three of the triangle's most treasured sites - Beynac, La Roque-Gageac and Sarlat - as well as lovely views over the chateaux of Castelnaud and Fayrac.
Its high cliffs lend a certain majesty to the gentle scenery of the Dordogne valley. Within this idyllic setting, Vézac also has a decorated prehistoric grotto, a Romanesque church, several manors and, its latest jewel, the hanging gardens of Marqueyssac.
The final treasures waiting to be discovered are the moving reminders of its rural past : dry-stone huts, mills, place-names...
Florent Brousse
Tout en poursuivant un travail photographique plus intime, Florent Brousse a publié plusieurs photographies sur le patrimoine périgourdin dans des guides ou revues locales. Il enseigne également le cinéma- audiovisuel au lycée Pré de Cordy à Sarlat.
Perrin Keller
Diplômé de l'école des Arts Décoratifs de Strasbourg (section illustration), il est aujourd'hui spécialisé dans la médiation du patrimoine.
Michael Jacobson
Ecrivain et ancien rédacteur en chef de plusieurs périodiques britanniques, sa voix a aussi été longtemps familière aux auditeurs de la BBC World. Installé depuis 20 ans à La Roque-Gageac, il continue à écrire, particulièrement sur les vins, l'histoire et l'environnement de notre région.
Romain Bondonneau
Rendu sensible à l'histoire et aux paysages par son enfance vézacoise, Romain Bondonneau a passé un diplôme de 3e cycle en histoire et archéologie. Président de l'Association Périgord Patrimoines, il a réalisé plusieurs publications sur l'histoire ou l'écologie du Périgord. Il est également professeur d'histoire et de géographie au lycée Pré de Cordy, à Sarlat.
Florent Brousse
As well as individual photographic work, Florent Brousse has published several photos illustrating the Périgord's historic heritage in various guides and local magazines. He also teaches film and audio-visual subjects at the Pré de Cordy lycee in Sarlat.
Perrin Keller
A graduate of the Strasbourg School of Decorative Arts, he now specialises in illustrating architectural treasures inherited from the past.
Michael Jacobson
Author, former editor, and long, a familiar voice to listeners to the BBC World Service. Has lived at La Roque-Gageac for 20 years, writing in particular about the wines of the region, as well as environmental questions, local history and various other topics.
Romain Bondonneau
Made aware of the history of Vézac and the local countryside through his childhood in the commune, he took a higher degree in history and archaeology. As president of the Périgord Patrimoine association, he has produced several publications on the history and ecology of the Périgord. He is also professor of history and geography at the Pré de Cordy lycee in Sarlat.
