texts by Yves Simone | preface by Alain Juppé
What could be better than panoramic photos as a way of understanding and « reading » Bordeaux ? The photos by Pascal Moulin and text by Yves Simone show the unique horizontal nature of a city that has recently been added to Unesco's World Heritage list.
This book shows the Cailhau Gate on the banks of the River Garonne connecting down through the centuries with Place de la :Bourse. The vastness of Place des Quinconces can be fully appreciated at last. The Rohan Residençe seems to be looking at the West Front of the cathedral. These, though, are just some of the images. There are many more, some of them surprising and all of them revealing the true originality and beauty that is Bordeaux.
