Quatrième de couverture

Romanée-Conti, Montrachet, Clos de Vougeot, Chambertin, Corton, etc., the Grand Crus of Burgundy represent a unique model of terroir- based viticulture acclaimed worldwide. This book provides the keys to understanding why and how exceptional wines have emerged from this particular part of the world.

This atlas presents comprehensive maps of the 33 Grand Cru vineyards of Burgundy, displaying precise details of the different lieux-dits, the winegrowers behind each vineyard, and the surface area they cultivate. It also describes the characteristics of each vineyard : geology, toponymy, exposure and, of course, the tasting profiles. It is a wealth of information, enriched by testimonials from the winegrowers who visit these Climats daily and who, better than anyone else, understand how to convey their unique characteristics. Never before has a work achieved this level of detail about these vineyards.
