Assurément une très grande cuvée. En N-GT, Freisinger enlève un 3e titre consécutif en dépit d'une farouche résistance de la Modena GPC Giesse. La BMS Scuderia Italia conserve sa couronne dans la catégorie supérieure, non sans avoir lutté bec et ongles avec des adversaires très affûtés : la Saleen Vitaphone, bien sûr, mais aussi les Ferrari 575 dont les progrès constants annoncent du très beau spectacle en 2005 : un combat de titans auquel devraient venir se mêler régulièrement Maserati et Aston Martin. Côté pilotes, saluons les nouveaux champions, Cappellari-Gollin et Maassen-Luhr. Sans oublier Lilian Bryner, toute première femme à s'être imposée dans une course internationale de 24 heures.
Quite definitely a vintage year. In N-GT, Freisinger won its third title in a row in spite of fierce resistance from the GPC Giesse Modena. The BMS Scuderia Italia retained its crown in the higher category but not without a hammer and tongues fight with its closest rivals : the Vitaphone Saleen of course, but also the Ferrari 5755 whose progress augurs well for a fine show in 2005. The battle of the Titans was regularly joined by Maserati and Aston Martin. In terms of drivers let us salute new Champions, Cappellari-Gollin and Maassen-Luhr. Not forgetting Lilian Bryner, the first woman ever to win an international 24 Hour race.

¤ Directeur éditoral chez Apach Publishing, il a initié, conçu et écrit de très nombreux ouvrages dans des domaines aussi variés que l'aéronautique, la moto, le cinéma, la musique, la bande dessinée. Mais, bien sûr, le sport automobile occupe une place prépondérante dans cette abondante production : il s'est notamment fait connaître par une biographie de Jacky Ickx et nourrit une affection toute particulière pour un livre qu'il a consacré à l'écurie Oreca. Depuis 2002, Denis Asselberghs a pris en charge l'annuel officiel du Championnat FIA GT. Un authentique plaisir, cette compétition véhiculant des valeurs essentielles à ses yeux : ambiance chaleureuse, qualité de l'accueil, accessibilité du public et abondance de très belles autos.
